So you want to learn all about McDonalds nutrition? Most people would laugh if they heard these two words in the same sentence.
Obviously, fast food has (rightfully so) developed the reputation of having extremely unearthly foods. A typical meal consists of a grease laden burger, greasy and salty fries, and either a soda or McFlurry.
However, when you are careful about what you eat, you actually can get a very healthy meal at McDonalds, and relatively easily.
Here is some specific McDonalds’ Nutrition information on the different foods available at McDonalds to help you determine which is best when you go there for your next meal. First of all, the Chicken McNugget comes with just 2 grams of saturated fat, and one hundred and seventy calories.
The bacon and ranch salad comes with three and a half grams of saturated fat, and one hundred and eighty calories. The big Mac, by far their most popular meal, also comes with three and a half grams of saturated fat, but two hundred and sixty calories.
Finally, the filet of fish comes equipped with four grams of saturated fat and four hundred calories.
Although many of the meals listed above are not ideal for healthy eating, eating them every now and then probably won’t hurt you too much, if you try to eat healthy on the whole.
In addition, it should be noted that the fast food chain has recently made strides in their health department, as they have begun selling healthy salads, and also a healthy breakfast, apple walnut yogurt salad. While they certainly will never be confused with a health food restaurant, they are at least making an effort to reach out ot the health food crowd.
The bottom line is, while McDonalds’ nutrition still is certainly not ideal, it is improving, and if you try you can find a relatively healthy meal there.
